
Accessibility statement: Oma Kymenlaakso online service
This accessibility statement concerns the online service kymenhva.suomisote.fi. The service is covered by the Act on the Provision of Digital services (306/2019), which requires digital public services to be accessible.
We want to offer digital services that are accessible to all users. In this accessibility statement, we set out the shortcomings in the accessibility of the service and how you can give us feedback and development suggestions related to the accessibility of the website. This accessibility statement was published on 25 August 2025.
The description of the accessibility of the website is based on an assessment by the Wellbeing Services County of Kymenlaakso and an external expert organisation.

Non-accessible content
The accessibility shortcomings are grouped as follows:

Perceivable
- Labels are not mapped to element groups: Some labels are not associated with their related element groups. (1.3.1)
- The intended use of the buttons may be unclear to users using assistive devices: It may be challenging for a user using assistive devices to understand the intended use of buttons with the same name. (1.3.1)
- The current page has not been determined programmatically: The current page has been determined visually, but not programmatically. (1.3.1)
- There are shortcomings in the headings: Some texts that do not function as headers are programmatically determined as headers. In places, headers do not follow the correct header hierarchy. (1.3.1)
- There are shortcomings in describing the purpose of the input fields: Input fields are not identified with appropriate autocomplete attributes. (1.3.5)
- There are shortcomings in the contrast of the focus indicator in keyboard use: In some places, the contrast of the focus indicator in keyboard use is not sufficient. (1.4.11)
Operable
- Some elements have shortcomings when using a keyboard or assistive device: Some elements cannot be managed smoothly with small screens with just a keyboard or assistive devices. (2.1.1)
- There are shortcomings in the focus order: In some places, the focus does not switch to the displayed view or the beginning of the changed content. For the ‘Omat tiedot’ (‘Your data’) section, the ‘Peruuta’ (‘Cancel’) and ‘Tallenna’ (‘Save’) buttons are focused on at the beginning of the related content, when it would be better if this were at the end. (2.4.3)
Understandable
- Some elements have shortcomings when using a keyboard or assistive device: Some elements cannot be managed smoothly with small screens with just a keyboard or assistive devices. (2.1.1)
- There are shortcomings in the focus order: In some places, the focus does not switch to the displayed view or the beginning of the changed content.
